Big Hearts for Seniors branding

Big Hearts for Seniors is a special fundraising event and auction that provides critical resources to six social service organizations at Michigan Medicine. Each offers important services to older adults in our community.

The event benefits Ann Arbor Meals on Wheels, Housing Bureau for Seniors, Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, Silver Club Memory Programs, Turner African American Services Council, and Turner Senior Wellness Program.

5:30 - 6:30 p.m. | VIP reception (VIP tickets required to attend)
6:00 p.m. | General admission and silent auction
6:30 p.m. | Theater doors open
7:00 p.m. - 8:15 p.m. | Storytelling performance
8:15 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. | Coffee and conversation

Please enter the Michigan League at any of the main entrances. There is a circle drive at the North University entrance for easy drop-off and pick-up access. Registration and auction check-in will be located on the second floor of the League in the Concourse area. There will be volunteers available to help you find your way.

Guests should allow an extra 15 minutes for registration and check-in. Upon arrival, you will see signage directing you to the registration table. Follow signage to the registration table and your name will be on the admission list. There are no paper tickets for this event. Please register yourself/your guests by Friday, May 17, to ensure a smooth check-in and let us know of any special accommodations.

Our silent auction will be open online (May 23-30) and in-person (at the event) on May 30! (Need not be present to participate in the silent auction.)

Parking
Metered parking is available on several streets surrounding the Michigan League. Parking will also be available for $6 per car (credit card only) at the Thayer Street Parking Structure, 216 S. Thayer St., Ann Arbor. There is also a public parking lot on Maynard Street, three blocks from the League.

VIP parking details will be relayed directly to our sponsor/VIP ticket holders prior to the event.

Accessible parking is available in all metered and cashier-attended University of Michigan parking areas. A state-issued disability placard/license plate must be displayed. Payment of the prevailing hourly parking fee is required, unless the individual’s state-issued disability permit has an official FREE PARKING designation.

There is a circle drive at the North University entrance for easy drop-off and pick-up access.

Access for Persons with Disabilities
Wheelchair seating is available on the rear of the main floor. There is a barrier free access located at the North University entrance to the building, with elevator access to the main floor of the theater level.

Entrances and Elevators
The Lydia Mendelssohn Theatre is located in the Michigan League Building on the University of Michigan’s central campus. The main entrance is off North University, in front of the Michigan League Building. Elevators for access to the Main Floor are located in the middle of the Michigan League along the main hallway.
